HEADLINE OF THE WEEK:
'Dad who tried to sacrifice boy gets probation'

Yep, that's really the headline. Either our justice system has gotten pretty cynical or a headline writer was in the middle of eating GooGooClusters.

Those are both such tragic facts:

1. The fact that a man was so far gone mentally that he would try to kill his 2-year old son...

AND

2. The fact that our justice system is SO broken that it allows people with this type of serious mental defect to essentially go free. (They should first be confined and then given mental counseling services, so that they could understand--once they had undergone treatment--why they are confined!)

And you can't blame the GooGoo Clusters.

It is indeed tragic that this deluded man was copying Abraham. Ever wonder why it is that when a horrific crime is committed based on a video game, there is a big clamor to ban video games, but when a crime is based on the Bible, no one is called for banning that book?

Just a thought...

Almost everyone who has read history in a more than casual manner knows that when the great figure of God appears in a controversy, the shooting cannot be far off.
